January Birchbox Review

So I definitely intended to do a Birchbox review monthly, but life. Here is a review of my January edition Birchbox. I absolutely love getting my Birchbox every month. It is such a fun surprise going to the mailbox and seeing that cute little pink box waiting on you! I have discovered some of my favorite hair and makeup products through Birchbox and even better, you can use your Birchbox points to get a discount! Count me in.

A quick look at all the goodies I received! Let' dive in.

The first product I tested was this Perlier Intensive Nurturing Body Balm in the scent Lavender. This body balm is so thick and luscious. I keep this little tube in my purse to combat those dry winter hands, it does wonders.

The next product, Briogeo Don't Despair! Repair! deep conditioning mask, I haven't had the chance to try yet, but I have a feeling I am going to love it! My hair gets quite dry in the winter and I am always looking for a great deep conditioner. The sample size was extremely generous too!

I have to admit, I am not a tea person. I have tried to make myself love tea, but I can't do it...coffee all the way. I was intrigued by the flavors though, so I might have to give them a try. If you are a tea gal I'm sure these Teapig Tea Temples would be to die for.

I have received this Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream in my Birchbox once before. I used it for awhile, but I am not very diligent in applying eye cream like I am my normal face moisturizer. The Balance Me Wonder eye cream was light which is a must for an eye cream to me.

Oh my, this lip product! Love. The Manna Kadar Lip Locked in the color All of Me was amazing. It was super pigmented and the perfect shade of dusty rose. The lasting power was equally as amazing. I have added this one to my wish list!

The When Travelmate Sheet Mask Set is an interesting concept that I am excited to try! It's an all inclusive face mask sheet that you simply place on your face and allow all the beatifying nutrients to seep in. Seems almost too easy...we will see.

What did you get in your Birchbox this month? What is your favorite beauty product you discovered thanks to Birchbox?

My Stella and Dot Trunk Show

Last month I hosted a Stella and Dot Sip and Shop trunk show. Going into the experience I didn't know much about the brand. I had seen some Stella and Dot product before and I had even browsed the website a couple times, but I never had any of my own.

Let me tell you... because of my trunk show that quickly changed. After seeing all the beautiful jewelry in person I couldn't resist any longer. (It also helped that I earned $250 in hostess credits and 50% off 3 items!!!) If you ask me is a pretty sweet deal for the hostess, invite some girlfriends over, drink wine, play with the beautiful jewels, and when all said and done get FREE jewelry!

Long story short, my obsession with Stella and Dot did not end after my trunk show. I spent hours perusing their new Spring collection online, wanting literally every single piece! I couldn't get enough of Stella and Dot, so I have now become a Stylist! I am so excited for this opportunity and can't wait to begin my journey as a Stella and Dot Stylist!

Visit my online shop or let me know if you would like to host your own trunk show to see everything up close and personal!!

Staying Organized

I don't know about y'all, but my life would be in complete shambles if I didn't have an Agenda attached to my hip 24/7. If it doesn't go in my agenda there is an absolute possibility I will forget it. Since I do rely on my agenda to keep my life together I see the value in purchasing a quality agenda that will hold up throughout the year. I wanted to share with y'all some agendas that I love.

While I have never purchased a Kate Spade agenda, I am a huge fan of Kate Spade and I bet the agendas are no exception. I love how simple and elegant they are and in the past you have been able to buy refills too. There are also a ton of cute little accessories you can get to go along with your agenda. How adorable are these bow paperclips?

I have used this agenda for the past several years and I absolutely love it. These agendas come in fabulous Lilly Pulitzer patterns and in three different sizes too! I like the large sized agenda. It is the perfect size to throw in a school tote or a large purse. The medium size would be a perfect for an "on the go" girl. The Lilly Pulitzer agendas also comes with a sticker page, and come on, who doesn't like stickers. These agendas are available for pre-order now!

Erin Condren takes personalization to the max in her Life Planners. You can customize this thing to your heart's content. You can add pictures, your name on the front, and customized color options. You are also able to specify over what time frame you would like your Life Planner to run. There are options to add pen holders, pouches, stickers, you name it she probably does it. Unfortunately the Life Planners are out of stock, but pre-sales start in June! Below I included images of the Teacher's Planner and the Wedding Planner to give you an idea of what the Life planner might look like. Be sure to check the website in June!

Happy Planning!

May Birchbox

This month's Birchbox took a little longer than expected to arrive. While I was bubbling with anticipation, Birchbox recognized the delay and sent me 100 free Birchbox points that can be used to purchase full sized items from their online store. That is some great customer service right there.

Let's dive into my May Birchbox...

I tried out this Kerastase Cristalliste Hair Mask the first night after receiving my BirchBox. I was super excited for this product because I am having a constant battle with my dry strands. Unfortunately, this little sample wasn't quite enough product for my thick hair and I don't think I got the full experience. I didn't find that this product was worth the price of the full sized product at $61. I am still on the hunt for a great moisturizing hair mask

The next product was the Caldrea Body Lotion. My sample came in the aloe water apricot scent. What I love about this product is that it is vegan and made of all natural ingredients. The scent is beautiful and the texture is light and smooth.

I was also sent a Caldrea Body Wash in the scent Tea Olive Lime. I haven't used this product yet, but if it is anything like their body lotion I am sure I will love it. The scent is bright and refreshing. It would be the perfect scent for a morning shower wake me up.

This has to be my favorite product from my Birchbox this month. It is the Jouer luminizing moisture tint. My product is in the shade Opal. I was sure that the product was going to be too light for my fair complexion, but surprisingly I was wrong and it was the perfect shade! I love that this product has SPF 20 in it and it is so light and goes on smoothly. It is perfect to use before a day at the pool or the beach because it has just the right amount of tint to cover those imperfections, yet not feel too heavy. The full size product is $38 and I am planning to purchase when my sample runs out.

Speaking of a day at the beach, this product Supergoop would be perfect! When I received this product the name made me think it was going to be thick and heavy, but it is just the opposite. The sunscreen has SPF 30 and smells less like the traditional coconut sunscreen smell and more like a refreshing lime scent. The full sized product is $19 and would be a great investment for your summer beach bag.

My final product was the Color Club Art Duo Pen in black. This is such a cool product for nail designs. It has a pen top for an ultra precise design and a slender brush for stripes and swirls. While I do not usually wear designs on my nails, I will say it is fun to play around with. The full sized product comes in a set of 3 for $25 (black, white, and lavender)!

Always,
CB
